Short-form video
Reels, TikToks and Shorts edited from clips you film on a phone.
Quavento Technologies provides social media marketing for businesses in New York City. We plan the content, edit the video, design the graphics, write the captions, schedule the posts and report on what the work produced, from followers and reach to bookings, orders and enquiries. We work remotely from Pune, India, hold calls between 9 am and 1 pm Eastern Time and bill in US dollars.
New York is the most crowded social media market in the country. Every restaurant, boutique, gallery, studio, fitness brand and agency is posting, and so are the creators, the media companies and the millions of residents who set the tone. Attention is the scarce thing here, and a post that looks like everyone else's disappears in seconds.
This page explains how we approach social media for a New York business, what is realistic for a team working from India and what you can fairly expect. We do not promise followers, viral posts or a particular return.
For the full picture of what is included, see our Social Media Marketing overview, including Social Media Management and Social Media Strategy. We apply the same approach for hotels & travel businesses, manufacturers and financial services firms.

The ones your customers actually use, which differs by what you sell. Instagram is the main platform for restaurants, fashion, beauty, fitness, galleries and anything visual, and its Reels and Stories reach people who do not follow you. TikTok is where many younger New Yorkers discover places to eat, shop and go out, and a short video of a dish or a window display can travel far.
LinkedIn matters for the city's large professional world: law, finance, consulting, real estate, technology and media. A thoughtful post from a partner or founder can reach exactly the people a firm wants to meet. Facebook still serves older audiences, neighborhood groups and events, and YouTube works for longer how-to and explainer videos. X and Threads carry news and commentary, and suit media and public-facing brands more than most small businesses.
We start by looking at where your customers spend time and what your competitors are doing, then choose two or three platforms to do well instead of seven to do badly. A smaller set, posted consistently with real quality, usually beats a scattered presence.
As their main shop window. New Yorkers choose where to eat and drink on their phones, usually the same day, and they scroll through photographs and short videos before they look at a menu. A place with a strong feed and fresh content has a real advantage over one with an empty or outdated profile.
We plan content around the things that make a place worth visiting: the dishes, the drinks, the people behind the counter, the room at different hours, the events and the neighborhood around it. Short videos of preparation, a pour or a plating often outperform polished photographs. Stories carry daily specials, last-minute tables and events, and we keep hours and links current.
Reviews and tagged posts from customers are valuable, and we help you encourage them honestly and respond to them. We never write or buy reviews, which break platform rules and the law. Alcohol advertising is regulated, with age restrictions on the platforms and state rules on promotions, so we keep content within them and ask you to confirm anything unusual.
Content with a point of view, shown rather than told. New York has an enormous community of designers, boutiques, galleries, studios, photographers and makers, all competing for attention from people with very high standards. Generic product shots rarely stop a scroll. A clear look, a consistent voice and a story behind the work usually do.
For a retailer, we mix product content with behind-the-scenes clips, styling ideas, customer features and shop news, and connect posts to the online store with shoppable tags and links. For a studio or gallery, we focus on process, openings and the people involved. For a maker, we show the making.
Sales moments matter. Seasonal collections, sample sales, pop-ups and holiday gifting are planned weeks ahead, with a content calendar that builds toward each. We measure the clicks, the store visits and the orders that come from each push, and keep what works.
Carefully, and with substance. Law firms, accountants, architects, consultants, real estate brokers and financial advisers are chosen on trust, and social media is a way to show how they think before a client calls. LinkedIn is usually the main channel, with Instagram or YouTube for firms whose work is visual or consumer-facing.
We help the people at the firm share real insight, such as answers to questions clients ask, short explainers on a change in the rules or a market and updates on cases or projects where they can be discussed. Posts are written with the professional, reviewed by them and published under their name or the firm's.
Regulated professions have advertising rules, and social posts count. Lawyers, doctors and financial advisers face limits on claims, testimonials and results, and posts may need labels or disclaimers. We keep content inside those limits, and your firm is responsible for approving what is published and for its own compliance.
By going small. New York is a collection of neighborhoods with strong identities, and people feel loyalty to theirs. A cafe in Astoria, a gym in Park Slope, a bookshop in Harlem and a florist in the West Village each serve a few blocks first, and their content should show it.
We use local landmarks, the street itself, events, regulars and neighborhood news, and tag locations so that posts appear for people nearby. Local partnerships help, such as a shared post with the bakery next door or a stall at the street fair. Community pages and groups on Facebook and Instagram can be useful for local reach.
We are based in India and do not live in your neighborhood, so the local detail comes from you. A monthly call and a shared folder of photos, stories and news give us what we need to write something that feels like it was written on your street.
We are open about what a team in Pune can and cannot do. We cannot stand in your dining room or your showroom with a camera, so the footage has to start with you. Everything after the footage is ours: the plan, the scripts, the edits, the graphics, the captions, the scheduling and the analysis.
In practice, a month starts with a shot list sent to whoever on your staff is best with a phone, perhaps the bartender, the buyer or the office manager. In a tight New York space, the list is written for small rooms, poor light and noise: close-ups, one-take clips and vertical framing. An hour or two of filming goes into a shared folder, and we return finished videos and graphics for your approval.
Nothing goes live until you approve it in the calendar. New York news moves fast, so we also keep a quick lane for timely posts, such as a snow-day opening or a sold-out night, which you can approve from your phone in minutes. If a shoot needs professional lighting or a crew, we brief a New York videographer you choose.
With care, and quickly. In a city where people expect an answer within the hour, a question in the comments or a direct message that waits a day can lose a booking. We can monitor and reply during our working hours, with an agreed tone and a list of questions that need your own answer, and we set up saved replies for the common ones.
Negative comments are handled calmly and, where possible, taken offline. We do not delete criticism simply because it is uncomfortable, and we flag anything that could be a complaint, a legal issue or a safety concern for you immediately.
Creators and influencers are a major part of New York's social scene. The Federal Trade Commission requires clear disclosure when a creator is paid or receives free products, and it also bans fake reviews and testimonials. We help you find suitable creators, write clear briefs and make sure posts carry the right disclosure. Your attorney should review the agreements.
Organic reach is limited, so paid promotion is how content reaches new people at a predictable cost. In a crowded city, where every competitor is posting, ads can put your best content in front of people near you or with the right interests, such as residents within a mile of the shop or professionals in a certain industry.
We produce several versions of each ad, test them and move budget to the winners. Meta campaigns rely on automated targeting, so the creative does most of the work. Tracking uses the Meta pixel and the Conversions API, so that bookings, orders and enquiries are linked back to the ad that produced them.
We keep budgets honest. We say what a test needs to be meaningful, report on cost per result and stop what does not work. Our guide to choosing between in-house and agency social media explains how we split work between your team and ours.
We judge social media by what it does for the business: reservations made, orders placed, consultations booked, store visits and enquiries received. At the start we set up tracking links, offer codes and analytics so that a post can be followed to a result. Each month you get a plain report on what went out, what worked and what changes next.
The pages, the ad account and the content belong to you, and we work through business manager access that you can withdraw whenever you like. We are in Pune, India, with no New York office, and we hold calls between 9 am and 1 pm Eastern Time.

Social media is a monthly retainer in US dollars. We price it by the number of platforms, how many posts and videos you want each month, whether we answer comments and messages and how much paid advertising we run for you. Ad spend goes straight from your card to the platforms. New York audiences take time to build, so we start with three months and then go month to month. A written proposal follows our first call.
Our team works from Pune, India. We do not have a US office, so every project is run remotely with a named project manager, a weekly call and written updates. These are the hours we keep for calls with US clients.
