Contractor websites
Fast, phone-first sites with a page for each service, service areas, licences, real project photos and a tap-to-call button.
Websites, local search, advertising and review systems that make the phone ring for HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, solar and CCTV businesses.
Quavento Technologies helps contractors and home service businesses get found and get called. We build websites that turn visitors into booked jobs, improve visibility on Google Maps and local search, run advertising that reaches customers in your service area and set up the review routines that keep new work coming. Our team is in Pune, India. We work with Indian contractors directly and with businesses in the United States remotely.
Home services are bought in a hurry and close to home. When an air conditioner fails in July or a pipe bursts at night, the customer searches on a phone, looks at the first three businesses on the map, reads a few reviews and calls. Whoever answers first usually gets the job. Planned work, such as a new roof, a solar installation or a CCTV system, takes longer, but it starts the same way: a local search and a short list.
That makes this one of the clearest industries to market. The customer is nearby, the need is specific and the result can be counted in calls and booked jobs. This page explains what works and how we approach it in the American and Indian markets.

Google Business Profile, reviews, citations and service-area pages so you appear when nearby customers search.
Google Ads and, in the US, Local Services Ads, targeted to your service area and tracked to calls and booked jobs.
A simple routine that asks every customer for a review after the job, and replies drafted for every review received.
Calls, forms and messages recorded by source, so you know what each lead cost and where it came from.
A logo and identity that look the same on your website, vans, uniforms, invoices and site boards.
By proximity, proof and speed. Google shows a map with three businesses for most local service searches, chosen by how relevant they are, how close they are to the searcher and how prominent they are, which largely means reviews. Most customers never scroll past that list.
From there they look for reassurance. Is this a real, licensed business? Do the reviews sound genuine and recent? Are there photographs of actual work? Is there a phone number I can call right now? A contractor who answers those questions in the first screen gets the call.
For larger jobs the customer compares two or three quotes. Here the website does more work: it explains the process, shows past projects of a similar kind and makes the business look established enough to trust with a significant sum.
A page for each service, because customers search for specific things. Someone looking for a water heater replacement and someone looking for a drain cleaning want different information, and a page about exactly their problem converts far better than a general list. Each page should describe the service, typical situations, what the visit involves and how to book.
Service areas should be named clearly: the cities, towns or neighbourhoods you actually cover. Licences, insurance and certifications belong where visitors can see them, stated accurately. Photographs should be of your own team, vehicles and completed jobs, not stock images.
Above all the site must be fast on a phone, with the phone number as a button at the top of every page. Our work for Shruti IT Service, a CCTV, solar and electrical contractor in Nashik, follows this pattern: a page for each service, a gallery of completed projects, service areas listed by district and an enquiry form that asks for the service and budget.
Through a complete Google Business Profile, steady reviews and consistent business details. The profile needs the right primary category, every service you offer, accurate hours including emergency availability, your service areas and plenty of real photographs. Businesses that travel to customers can hide their address and list the areas they serve.
Reviews carry the most weight you can influence. A business with a hundred recent, detailed reviews will usually outrank one with ten, all else being equal. Your name, address and phone number should match exactly on your website and on other listings.
Distance is the factor you cannot change. A profile ranks best near its real location, so a single profile will not cover a whole metropolitan region equally. Opening profiles at fake or virtual addresses is against Google's rules and gets listings suspended. We covered this work for the same client in our Google Business Profile case study.
Search advertising, because it reaches people at the moment of need. A well-built Google Ads campaign targets specific services in your service area, excludes irrelevant searches such as jobs and do-it-yourself questions, and sends each click to a page about that exact service with a phone number at the top.
In the United States, Google's Local Services Ads deserve special attention. They appear above ordinary ads, carry a verification badge after Google checks licence and insurance, and charge per lead instead of per click. For many trades they are the most cost-effective source of calls.
Budgets should follow demand. Heating and cooling peak with the weather, roofing after storms, pest control in warm months. We plan spending by season and switch ads off at hours when nobody can answer, since an unanswered call from a paid click is money lost.
Every time, straight after the job, in a way that takes the customer less than a minute. Most satisfied customers are willing to leave a review. Almost none think of it unless asked.
The routine we set up is simple. When a job is marked complete, the customer receives a short message thanking them and linking directly to the review form. Technicians mention it in person before they leave. Every customer is asked, not just the happy ones, because asking only satisfied customers breaks Google's rules.
Then every review gets a reply. A thank-you for praise, and for a complaint a calm acknowledgement and an offer to put it right. Never offer payment or discounts for reviews, and never write your own: both are prohibited by Google and are unlawful under advertising rules in India and the United States.
The American market is larger for organised home services and more competitive online. Customers search for HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, landscaping and pest control, compare businesses on Google, Yelp, Angi, Thumbtack and Nextdoor, and expect licence numbers, proof of insurance and upfront pricing or free estimates. Many states require a contractor's licence number to appear in advertising. Follow-up calls and texts to leads fall under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, which requires consent for marketing messages.
In India the trades that market themselves online are somewhat different: CCTV and security installers, solar installers, electricians, air conditioner service, pest control and interior contractors. Customers find them on Google, Justdial, Sulekha and Urban Company and usually make contact by phone or WhatsApp. Solar installers benefit from explaining government subsidy schemes clearly and showing any empanelment they genuinely hold.
The principles are the same in both countries. The platforms, the vocabulary and the rules differ, and we plan for the market you serve.
More than most businesses, because the brand is seen in the street. A van outside a neighbour's house, a yard sign during a roofing job, a uniform at the door and a magnet on the refrigerator are all advertising. A consistent name, logo and colour make them add up.
A contractor's logo has practical requirements. It must be readable from across a road, work in one colour for stamps and embroidery, and look right on a phone screen and on a vehicle. When a business offers several unrelated services, the name itself usually has to carry the identity.
We designed the logo for Shruti IT Service on those principles, described in the logo design case study. Our branding page explains what a full identity involves.
In calls, booked jobs and cost per lead. Traffic and rankings are steps along the way, but they do not pay wages. We set up call tracking so that calls from the website, from the Google profile and from each advertising campaign can be told apart, and we record form submissions and message clicks.
Each month you receive a short report: how many leads came from each source, what they cost and how map visibility has moved across your service area. If your office records which leads became jobs, we can show which channel brings the most profitable work, which is often not the one that brings the most calls.
We will also tell you when a problem is not marketing. If leads arrive but calls go unanswered, more advertising will not help.
With the Google Business Profile and a review routine, because they cost little and affect every local search. Next comes the website, since advertising and search both send customers there. Website development, local SEO and Google Ads management are the usual sequence.
We suggest one step at a time, each with a written scope and price. A contractor near Pune or Nashik can meet us in person. Businesses elsewhere in India and in the United States work with us by video call, with one project manager throughout.
We work with contractors & home service businesses in India from our office in Pune, and with businesses in the United States remotely, with calls in US business hours. The work is the same. The terms, platforms and rules differ, and we plan for both.

Websites and logos are quoted as a fixed price against a written scope and paid in milestones. Local SEO, advertising management and review management run as monthly retainers, and advertising budgets are paid by you directly to Google or other platforms. We quote in US dollars for American contractors and in rupees for Indian businesses. We do not publish prices because a single-van electrician and a multi-location HVAC company need different things. The main factors are the number of services and locations, how competitive your area is and how many channels we manage.
HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, solar, landscaping and pest control businesses in the United States, and CCTV, solar, electrical, air conditioning service, pest control and interior contractors in India. The approach suits any business that travels to its customers.
Yes, remotely from Pune, India, with calls during US business hours. We do not have a US office. Websites, Google profile work, advertising and reporting are all handled online.
No, and nobody honestly can. Map results depend heavily on how close the searcher is to your business. We work to make you the strongest result in your own area and to extend that reach over time.
Advertising can bring calls within days of launch. Google Business Profile improvements often show within weeks. Local search rankings and a strong review profile build over three to six months.
Yes. The profile gets you seen, but customers comparing contractors for larger jobs visit the website to check services, licences and past work. Advertising also needs a page to send people to.
Yes, exactly as they appear on your documents. We only display licences, insurance and certifications that you hold, since false claims are unlawful and easy for customers to check.
Your team does. We bring the calls and enquiries and report where they came from. If calls are being missed, we will tell you, because answering quickly is the biggest factor in winning the job.
