Websites, online stores, apps and search marketing for Los Angeles businesses, from a remote team that keeps Pacific Time call hours.
Los Angeles, CA, United States, served remotely from Pune, India
Quavento Technologies works with businesses across Los Angeles from our office in Pune, India. We design and build websites and online stores, develop apps and custom software, and run SEO for companies from Santa Monica to Pasadena and from the San Fernando Valley to Long Beach. We have no office in California, and we do not pretend otherwise. We are a remote team that offers senior work at offshore rates, with calls in your morning or late afternoon.
Los Angeles is less a single city than a region of separate cities and neighborhoods joined by freeways. Los Angeles County is the most populous county in the United States, home to around ten million people in eighty-eight incorporated cities and many unincorporated communities. A business in Burbank, a brand in the Arts District and a clinic in Torrance serve very different customers, even though all of them would say they are in LA.
This page explains how we work with Los Angeles clients from the other side of the world, which services we offer here, what is particular about the market and the California rules that shape websites and stores, and how to tell whether a remote team suits you.

Mainly cost and capacity. Agency rates in Los Angeles reflect West Coast salaries and rents. A brand or practice that can afford a part-time freelancer locally can often afford a designer, a developer and a project manager with us, and the work does not depend on anyone sitting in your office.
Time zones work in an unusual way here. Pune is twelve and a half hours ahead of Los Angeles for most of the year and thirteen and a half in winter. Our working day is roughly your night. Feedback you send in the afternoon is usually handled by the time you wake up, which many LA clients find useful for fast-moving launches.
The limits are real. We cannot attend a shoot in Culver City, walk your store on Melrose or meet in person. Where physical presence matters, such as photography, events or retail fit-out, we work alongside the local people you already use.
We keep two windows for West Coast clients: 8 am to 9 am Pacific, which is our late evening, and 5 pm to 7 pm Pacific, which is our early morning. Most LA clients choose one standing weekly call in one of those windows and handle everything else in writing.
That writing is structured. You have one project manager, a shared channel for questions, a task board you can see, and a short written summary at the end of each week. Designs live in Figma and built work on a private staging link, so reviews happen whenever suits you, not when a meeting can be scheduled.
For launches, drops or anything time-critical during your business day, we arrange cover in advance so that someone is online when you need them.
Geography comes first. People in LA mostly drive, and they think in terms of drive time and traffic, not distance. A customer in Santa Monica will rarely cross the city at rush hour for a service available nearer home. Many of the places people search for, such as Beverly Hills, Pasadena, Glendale, Burbank and Long Beach, are separate cities with their own names, not neighborhoods of Los Angeles, and search engines treat them that way.
The audience is varied and image-literate. Los Angeles is a center of film, television, music, fashion, beauty and the creator economy, and its residents see polished visual work all day. A website or store that looks dated is noticed. At the same time, the city has a very large Spanish-speaking population and substantial Korean, Armenian, Chinese, Filipino and Persian communities, each with its own media and search habits.
Finally, LA moves on trends quickly. Brands launch through creators and social platforms, and a product can sell out after one video. Websites and stores need to cope with sudden spikes and to convert visitors who arrive from a phone app with no context.
Direct-to-consumer brands in apparel, beauty, wellness and food are a natural fit for our ecommerce and Shopify work. The region has one of the largest concentrations of apparel manufacturing and design in the country, and many of those brands sell online first.
Entertainment and media companies, from small production houses to post-production and music businesses, need websites, portfolios and internal tools for managing projects, assets and rights. Technology startups in Santa Monica, Venice and Playa Vista, often called Silicon Beach, need products built and marketed. Logistics and trade businesses around the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, which together form the busiest container port complex in the country, need operations software and integrations.
Health and wellness practices, real estate firms, restaurants and home service companies need what such businesses need everywhere: a fast site, online booking and strong local search, adapted to a region where the next competitor is one exit away.
California has some of the strictest consumer rules in the country, and they apply to websites and stores. The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives residents rights to know, delete and correct their data and to opt out of its sale or sharing, which covers much advertising tracking. CalOPPA requires a commercial website that collects personal information from Californians to post a privacy policy.
Accessibility claims are common. Besides the Americans with Disabilities Act, California's Unruh Civil Rights Act allows statutory damages of at least $4,000 per violation, which makes website accessibility lawsuits frequent in the state's courts.
Retail adds more. Products that can expose people to listed chemicals may need Proposition 65 warnings, including on product pages. Since July 2024 California has required advertised prices to include mandatory fees, so a price shown on a site cannot leave a compulsory charge until checkout. Subscriptions must follow the state's automatic renewal law, including a simple way to cancel online. We build to these requirements. None of this is legal advice, and your attorney should confirm what applies to you.
By studying it carefully and by asking you. Before any work starts we look at who ranks for your services in the cities and neighborhoods you serve, what your competitors say and charge, how they are reviewed and where their sites are weak. We check search results as they appear from specific parts of the region, since results in the Valley differ from results on the Westside.
What we cannot learn from data is the character of your business and your customers. Why people drive past three competitors to reach you. Which freeway exit they take. What your busiest week of the year looks like. We gather that in a structured interview at the start and return to you whenever a decision depends on it.
We will not claim to know every neighborhood or pretend to be an LA agency. What we publish about the region is checked, and what we say about your business comes from you.
Most Los Angeles clients begin with something contained: a website redesign, a Shopify theme before a product launch, a technical SEO audit, or a clickable prototype of an app for a pitch. A small first project shows how we communicate and deliver before anything larger is agreed.
Take a skincare brand in Downtown LA as an illustration. A sensible first project might be a faster Shopify theme with Proposition 65 warnings on the products that need them, prices that include any mandatory fees and a subscription option with online cancellation. SEO and an app could follow, each quoted separately.
Every project starts from a written proposal with deliverables, dates and a price in dollars. Nothing is billed that was not agreed.
You do, always. Domains, hosting, stores, analytics, Google Business Profiles, source code and design files are created in your name or transferred to you. We work as invited users whom you can remove at any time.
This protects you if you later hire an in-house team or move to a local agency. It is still common for businesses to discover that a previous vendor registered their website, their ad account or their Google listing in the vendor's own name. We put ownership in writing in the first agreement.
Look at live work. Our portfolio contains case studies of real projects, each stating where the client is based. Today those clients are in India, and we have no Los Angeles case studies to show. We prefer to say that plainly than to borrow logos or invent testimonials.
Then speak to the people who would do your work. On the first call you meet the project manager and, where useful, the designer or developer. Ask how they would approach your project and judge the answers.

Build projects are quoted as a fixed price in US dollars and paid in milestones. Ongoing work such as SEO runs on a monthly retainer with stated deliverables. We do not publish prices, because scopes vary widely, but our rates are based on costs in Pune, not on the Westside, and the proposal shows exactly what you pay for. Invoices are in dollars and can be paid by bank transfer or card. The first call and the proposal are free.
Our team works from Pune, India. We do not have a US office, so every project is run remotely with a named project manager, a weekly call and written updates. These are the hours we keep for calls with US clients.

No. Our team is in Pune, India, and we work with Los Angeles businesses remotely. We have no California office, virtual address or local staff, and every page on our site says so.
We keep 8 am to 9 am and 5 pm to 7 pm Pacific free for West Coast calls. Messages sent at other times are answered within one business day, usually overnight.
Web design and development, ecommerce, Shopify development, custom software, mobile apps and SEO. Each service has its own Los Angeles page with more detail.
We build the technical parts, such as consent and opt-out tools, privacy policy links, accessible templates and fee-inclusive pricing displays. Whether your business must comply with a given law is a question for your attorney.
No. All meetings are by video. If in-person meetings matter a lot to you, a local agency may suit you better, and we would rather you know that before starting.
No. Many of our projects are for small and mid-sized businesses. A single landing page, an audit or a theme update is a perfectly good way to start.
Not yet. Our published case studies are for clients in India, and each one says so. We can show you live work and introduce the people who would handle your project.
