Shopify ERP integration
Products, prices and stock flow from your ERP to Shopify, and orders, customers and payments flow back, so the ERP remains the single source of truth for operations.
Connect Shopify to your ERP, accounting, warehouse, courier, CRM and marketplace systems, so stock, orders and invoices stay accurate without manual work.
As a Shopify store grows, it stops being a standalone website. Orders need to reach the warehouse and courier, stock must match the ERP and marketplaces, invoices must flow into accounting, customer data should reach the CRM and marketing tools, and finance needs payments reconciled. When these connections are manual, staff spend hours copying data between systems, mistakes creep in, products oversell and reports never quite match. Shopify ERP integration removes that manual work.
Shopify offers strong APIs, webhooks and automation tools, and there are many ready-made connectors in the Shopify App Store. The challenge is choosing the right approach for each system, deciding which system owns which data, handling errors and high order volumes reliably, and making sure the whole chain is monitored. A connector that works for a few orders a day can fail quietly during a festive sale.
We design and build Shopify integrations for Indian brands, retailers, manufacturers and distributors: ERP and accounting systems such as Tally, SAP Business One, Zoho, Odoo and Microsoft Dynamics, warehouse and courier platforms, GST invoicing, CRMs, WhatsApp and email tools, marketplaces and point of sale. Where a reliable connector exists, we configure it properly; where it does not, we build custom integrations using Shopify’s APIs.

Products, prices and stock flow from your ERP to Shopify, and orders, customers and payments flow back, so the ERP remains the single source of truth for operations.
Orders, invoices, receipts and credit notes sent from Shopify to Tally in the format your accountant needs, removing double entry and speeding up GST filing.
Orders routed to your warehouse or 3PL, shipping labels and tracking created through couriers or aggregators, and fulfilment status synced back to Shopify.
Stock shared across Shopify, marketplaces and retail stores stays accurate, reducing overselling and cancellations.
Customer and order data reaches your CRM, email and WhatsApp tools, enabling segmentation, follow-ups and retention campaigns based on real purchases.
Where no connector fits, we build integrations using Shopify’s GraphQL Admin API, webhooks and bulk operations, designed for your volumes and business rules.
Failed syncs are retried, logged and alerted, with a dashboard showing integration health, so problems are fixed before customers notice.

The right integrations depend on how your business operates, but most growing Indian stores connect several of these.
Ready-made connectors from the Shopify App Store or ERP vendors are faster and cheaper to start, and many work well for standard needs. They become limiting when your data rules are unusual, when you need to combine several systems, when volumes exceed what the connector handles reliably, or when you need control over error handling and logs.
Custom integrations take longer but fit your business exactly. We often combine both: connectors where they work well and custom logic for the gaps. The decision is made system by system during discovery.
Every piece of data should have one source of truth. If prices can be changed in both the ERP and Shopify, sooner or later they will disagree. We agree clear rules: for example, products, prices and stock owned by the ERP; content and images owned by Shopify; orders created in Shopify and pushed to the ERP; fulfilment status owned by the warehouse. These rules prevent overwrites, confusion and difficult reconciliations.
Tally is widely used by Indian businesses for accounting and GST. Shopify orders, customers, invoices, receipts, refunds and credit notes can be sent to Tally through connectors or custom integrations, mapped to the right ledgers, tax classes and voucher types. This removes manual entry, reduces errors and speeds up accounting and GST filing. The exact setup depends on your Tally version and how your accountant structures ledgers, so we design it with them.
When the same stock sells through Shopify, marketplaces and retail stores, delays in syncing cause overselling. We design inventory flows so the owning system updates every channel promptly, use webhooks for near-real-time changes where possible, add safety stock buffers for fast-moving products and run regular reconciliation checks that flag differences before they become cancellations.
Festive sales and influencer campaigns can multiply orders suddenly. Integrations built without planning for volume hit API limits, time out or process orders twice. We design with queues, batching, Shopify’s bulk operations for large data jobs, respect for API rate limits and idempotent processing, so each order is handled exactly once even if an event is repeated. Load testing before major sales confirms the setup copes.
Shopify Flow automates tasks inside Shopify, such as tagging orders, sending internal alerts, hiding out-of-stock products or triggering actions in connected apps. It is useful for simpler workflows and complements full integrations. For complex data exchange with ERPs and warehouses, dedicated API integrations remain more robust. We use Flow where it keeps things simple and reliable.
Integrations fail for many reasons: an expired password or token, a changed API, a product missing a required field, or a network timeout. Without monitoring, failures go unnoticed until customers complain. We log every sync, retry temporary failures automatically, alert your team to failures that need attention and provide a dashboard showing what synced, what failed and why.
Shopify recommends the GraphQL Admin API for new development and has marked the REST Admin API as legacy. GraphQL lets integrations request exactly the data they need, supports bulk operations for large data sets and receives new capabilities first. Building new integrations on GraphQL avoids costly rewrites later. Our Shopify app development team builds custom apps where an integration needs its own interface.
B2B selling depends heavily on integration: customer-specific price lists, credit limits, company accounts and payment terms often live in the ERP and must reach Shopify accurately. On Shopify Plus, higher API capacity and native B2B features make these integrations more powerful. Our Shopify Plus service covers B2B setup in detail.
Invoices can be generated by Shopify apps, by your ERP or accounting system, or by a dedicated invoicing tool. The key is that one system is responsible, invoice numbering is consistent and tax details, such as GSTIN, HSN codes and tax breakdowns, are correct. Where e-invoicing applies to your business, the system generating invoices must support it. We design the invoice flow with your accountant and confirm specific requirements with them.
Indian shoppers expect order confirmations, dispatch updates and delivery alerts on WhatsApp as well as email. Integrating Shopify with a WhatsApp Business Platform provider lets these messages trigger automatically from order and fulfilment events, using approved templates and opted-in contacts. The same integration can support COD confirmation and abandoned cart reminders, reducing return-to-origin costs and recovering sales.
Yes. Payment gateway settlement reports can be matched against Shopify orders and refunds automatically, with fees and taxes recorded correctly in your accounting system. Mismatches, such as missing settlements or unexpected refunds, are flagged for review. This saves finance teams hours every week and catches problems that manual checks miss.
These issues appear frequently in stores we audit.
Testing should cover real business scenarios, not just a successful order: cancellations, returns and refunds, partial shipments, price and stock changes, discount codes, COD and prepaid orders, B2B orders and failures such as a system being unavailable. We test in a staging environment with realistic data and run a controlled go-live with manual fallbacks ready.
List every system involved, who manages each one and how data moves between them today, including any spreadsheets. Share API documentation or connector details for your ERP and other systems, typical and peak order volumes, and examples of problems you want to solve, such as overselling or delayed invoices. Access to test environments speeds up development considerably, and a named contact for each system helps resolve questions quickly.
The main factors are the number of systems, the complexity of data rules, whether reliable connectors exist, volumes and performance needs, the quality of the other systems’ APIs, testing effort and the level of ongoing monitoring and support required. We itemise each system and data flow in the proposal after discovery.
Integrations are quoted per project after discovery, based on the number of systems, data flows and custom development required. Connector subscriptions are billed to your accounts. Monitoring and support continue on a monthly plan.
