SEO Services in the USA

What we do for businesses in the USA.

Quavento Technologies provides SEO services to businesses across the United States from our office in Pune, India. We fix the technical problems that hold a site back, write content that answers what buyers search for, improve local visibility on Google Maps and prepare pages to be cited in AI answers. Every month you get a report that ties the work to inquiries and sales.

Search in the US is the most competitive in the world. For almost any commercial term you are up against national brands with large content teams, directories such as Yelp and Angi, marketplaces, and local competitors who have been at it for a decade. Ranking is still possible for a smaller business, but not by doing a little of everything. It takes choosing the searches you can realistically win and doing the work properly.

This page explains how SEO works in the US market today, what has changed with AI Overviews and Google's spam policies, how local search differs from national search, and what you should expect from an agency in the first six months.

Guide

What you should know in the USA.

How is SEO in the United States different?

Three things set the US apart. The first is competition: more businesses invest in SEO here than anywhere else, so pages that would rank easily in a smaller market sit on page three. The second is the result page itself. For many searches the screen is filled with ads, a map pack, an AI Overview, videos and People Also Ask boxes before the first ordinary result appears.

The third is geography. Results differ sharply by city. Someone searching for an accountant in Denver sees different businesses from someone in Tampa, and a national ranking report hides that. A US strategy has to decide early whether it is chasing local, regional or national visibility, because the tactics differ.

The practical consequence is focus. We look for searches where intent is commercial, where the current results are weak or outdated, and where your business has real expertise to show.

What does an SEO audit look at?

An audit answers one question: what is stopping this site from ranking and converting? We crawl every page the way Google does and look at four areas. Can search engines reach and index the important pages? Is the site fast and stable on mobile? Does each page target a clear topic with content that deserves to rank? And does the site have enough credible links and mentions?

The output is a prioritized list, not a 90-page export from a tool. Each issue has an explanation, the pages affected, the fix and the expected effect. Typical findings include thousands of thin or duplicate URLs created by filters, important pages blocked by mistake, slow templates and service pages that never mention what the customer actually searches for.

Our SEO audit and technical SEO pages describe the checks in detail.

How have AI Overviews changed search?

Google began showing AI Overviews to US users in May 2024. For many informational searches a written summary now appears above the results, with links to the pages it drew from. People also ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Copilot questions they once typed into Google.

Google's own guidance is that no special optimization is needed to appear in these features beyond ordinary good SEO. A page has to be indexed and helpful. What helps in practice is writing so a passage can be lifted and understood on its own: the question as a heading, a direct answer in the first two sentences, then the detail. Clear facts about who you are and consistent information across the web make you easier to cite.

The effect on traffic is uneven. Simple questions are increasingly answered on the results page, while commercial searches still send clicks. That makes pages aimed at buyers more valuable than pages aimed at curiosity. Our guide to AI search optimization covers this in depth.

What do Google's spam policies mean for your content?

In March 2024 Google updated its spam policies and named three practices it acts against. Scaled content abuse means producing many pages mainly to rank, with little value for readers, whether written by people or generated by software. Site reputation abuse means third-party content published on a trusted site to borrow its authority. Expired domain abuse means buying an old domain to host unrelated content.

For a legitimate business the lesson is simple. Publishing hundreds of near-identical pages, one per city or per keyword, is a risk, not a strategy. Each page needs something specific and true to say. That is why we publish location pages only when there is real substance for that market.

It also matters who writes the content. Pages that show first-hand experience, name their author, cite sources and are kept up to date fare better than anonymous filler.

How does local SEO work for US businesses?

For businesses that serve customers in a specific area, the map pack is where most calls begin. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence. You control relevance through accurate categories and services, and prominence through reviews, links and consistent listings. You cannot control how far the searcher is from you.

The work includes a complete Google Business Profile, a steady flow of genuine reviews, consistent name, address and phone number across directories such as Yelp, Apple Maps and Bing Places, and a page on your site for each real location. Service-area businesses, such as plumbers and cleaners, hide their address and list the areas they cover.

Take a three-location dental practice in Ohio as an illustration. Each office needs its own profile, its own page with that office's dentists, hours and insurance details, and its own reviews. One generic page for all three leaves two offices invisible in their own towns. See local SEO for more.

  • One Google Business Profile per real location, never for a virtual office.
  • Reviews requested from real customers, and every review answered.
  • Identical name, address and phone details wherever the business is listed.
  • Location pages with content specific to that office or service area.

How do you build links and authority?

Links from other websites remain a strong signal that a business is credible. The useful ones come from sites your customers actually read: trade publications, local news, industry associations, suppliers, partners and universities. One such link outweighs a hundred from directories nobody visits.

We earn them by giving those sites something worth linking to. That might be original data from your business, an expert comment for a journalist, a genuinely useful tool or a detailed guide. It is slow, and it cannot be faked safely. Paying for links or using private blog networks violates Google's policies and puts the whole site at risk.

We do not sell link packages or promise a number of links per month. Our digital PR page explains the approach.

Can a team in India do SEO for a US business?

Most SEO work does not depend on location. Crawling a site, fixing templates, researching what Americans search for with US data and analyzing competitors can be done from anywhere. Our tools are set to US locations, and we check results as they appear in your target cities.

Where distance does matter is voice and local knowledge. Content must read as American, and it must be accurate about your industry and area. We handle that with writers who work in US English, a subject interview with you before each major piece and your review before anything is published. You know your customers better than any agency does, wherever it sits.

We will not create Google Business Profiles for addresses where you have no real presence, and we do not claim to be a local agency in your city.

What results should you expect, and when?

Technical fixes can show an effect within weeks, once Google recrawls the site. New content usually takes three to six months to reach its position, and competitive national terms can take a year or longer. A new domain with no history takes longer than an established one.

In the first month we set up tracking and complete the audit. In months two and three the priority fixes go live and the first content is published. From month four you should see impressions and rankings rising in Search Console, followed by traffic and then leads. We report all of these, with leads and revenue at the top.

No honest agency can guarantee a ranking. We can promise the work, the reasoning behind it and a clear view of whether it is paying off. Our article on SEO cost explains how this kind of work is usually priced.

Pricing & engagement

How do pricing and engagement work?

SEO runs as a monthly retainer in US dollars with a defined set of deliverables, such as hours of technical work, pieces of content and reporting. One-time projects, such as an audit or a migration, are quoted as a fixed price. The retainer depends on the size of the site, how competitive the market is and how much content is needed, and we explain the reasoning in the proposal. We ask for an initial commitment long enough for the work to show results, typically six months, after which the agreement continues month to month. Your analytics, Search Console and Google Business Profile stay in your ownership throughout.

SEO Services in the USA: common questions

Technical fixes can show results within weeks. New content typically takes three to six months to rank, and highly competitive terms can take a year or more. Established sites usually move faster than new ones.

No. Google controls its results, and Google itself warns against agencies that guarantee rankings. We commit to the work and to transparent reporting, and we tell you which goals are realistic for your budget.

Yes. Optimizing your Google Business Profile, managing listings, improving location pages and setting up review requests are all done remotely. The local presence that matters to Google is yours, not your agency's.

Writers may use AI tools for research and outlines, but every page is written and edited by a person, checked for accuracy and reviewed by you before it is published. We do not mass-produce pages, which Google treats as spam.

Access to Google Analytics, Search Console and your content management system, plus an hour of your time to explain your services, customers and competitors. Later we will ask for short interviews to inform content.

Yes. We provide clear tickets for technical fixes and check them once done. If you have no developer, our own team can make the changes on most platforms.

By leads and revenue from organic search first, then by traffic, rankings and visibility in Search Console. We agree the main measures with you before starting and report on them monthly.
