Conversion Rate Optimization Services in the USA

What we do for businesses in the USA.

Quavento Technologies provides conversion rate optimization and analytics services to businesses in the United States. From Pune, India, our analysts and designers set up reliable tracking, study how visitors behave on your site, find where and why they drop off, and test changes to fix it.

Most companies try to grow by buying more traffic. With US ad costs rising year after year, that gets expensive quickly. Conversion rate optimization takes the other route. If 100 visitors produce two inquiries today and a set of improvements raises that to three, you have 50 percent more leads from the same spend. The gain carries over to every channel, because all of them send visitors to the same pages.

This page explains what a conversion rate is and what counts as a good one, how we find problems, when A/B testing is appropriate and when it is not, how US privacy rules affect measurement, and what a remote optimization program looks like.

Guide

What you should know in the USA.

What is a conversion rate, and what is a good one?

A conversion rate is the share of visitors who take the action you want: buying, booking, calling or submitting a form. If 2,000 people visit a page in a month and 60 request a quote, the conversion rate is 3 percent.

There is no universal good number. Rates vary enormously by industry, price, traffic source and device. Visitors who searched for your brand name convert far better than visitors from a display ad. A $20 product converts more readily than a $20,000 service. Published industry averages are of little use, and we do not quote them.

The useful comparison is with your own past. We measure where each important page and each traffic source stands today, then work to improve those numbers. The financial effect is easy to calculate, which makes this one of the few marketing activities where the return can be estimated in advance.

Why does tracking have to come first?

You cannot improve what you cannot measure, and most analytics setups we inspect have errors. Purchases are counted twice. Form submissions are tracked on one form but not another. Internal staff visits inflate traffic. Phone calls, which for many US service businesses are the main type of lead, are not tracked at all.

We audit and rebuild the measurement first. That means a properly configured Google Analytics 4 property, events managed in Google Tag Manager, purchases or leads recorded with their value, call tracking where calls matter, and a connection to your CRM so you can see which leads became revenue.

Only once the numbers are trustworthy do we start drawing conclusions from them. Our GA4 setup page describes the work in detail.

How do US privacy rules affect analytics?

Measurement in the US has become more complicated. California's privacy law, and similar laws now in force in many other states, give residents the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information, which covers much advertising tracking. Many businesses must honor the Global Privacy Control signal that browsers can send automatically.

Browsers add their own limits. Safari and Firefox restrict cookies, and a meaningful share of visitors use ad blockers. The result is that analytics tools see fewer visitors and conversions than actually occur.

We implement a consent banner suited to the states you sell in, configure Google's consent mode so tags respect each visitor's choice, and use server-side tagging where it is justified. We also set expectations: the figures in any analytics tool are estimates, and decisions should rest on trends and tests, not on false precision. Your attorney should confirm which laws apply to your business.

How do you find out why visitors do not convert?

Numbers show where people leave. They do not show why. For that we combine several kinds of evidence. Funnel reports reveal the step with the biggest drop. Session recordings and heatmaps from tools such as Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar show what people click, where they hesitate and what they never scroll to. Short on-page surveys ask visitors what nearly stopped them. Interviews with recent customers and your sales team reveal the questions buyers ask.

We also review pages against well-established principles. Is it obvious what is being offered? Is the next step clear? Are prices, delivery times or fees disclosed before the visitor commits? Is there evidence the company can be trusted? Does the page work properly on a phone?

Take a moving company as an illustration. Recordings might show visitors abandoning a quote form at the field asking for an exact inventory of belongings. Replacing it with a simple choice of home size could be the single change that matters most.

  • Analytics: where visitors drop off, by device and traffic source.
  • Recordings and heatmaps: what they actually do on the page.
  • Surveys and interviews: what they were thinking.
  • Expert review: clarity, trust, friction and speed.

When is A/B testing the right tool?

An A/B test shows two versions of a page to similar visitors at the same time and measures which performs better. It is the most reliable way to know whether a change helped, because it rules out seasonality and other outside effects.

It also needs volume. To detect a realistic improvement with confidence, a page typically needs thousands of visitors and at least a few hundred conversions per variation. Many small and mid-sized sites do not have that. Running tests anyway produces random results that look like findings.

For lower-traffic sites we take a different approach: fix clear problems that research has identified, then compare periods carefully. For higher-traffic sites we run a disciplined testing program using tools such as VWO, Optimizely or Convert. Google Optimize, the free tool many businesses relied on, was shut down in September 2023, so sites that used it need a replacement.

What typically improves an ecommerce checkout?

Checkout is where US shoppers are most easily lost, and the causes are well documented: unexpected costs, forced account creation, long forms and limited payment options.

The fixes follow directly. Show shipping costs and delivery dates before checkout. Allow guest checkout. Offer the wallets Americans use, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and PayPal, and a pay-later option on larger orders. Remove fields you do not need and use address autocomplete. Show a clear return policy and security reassurance beside the pay button.

Product pages matter as much. Clear photos, sizing help, reviews and an in-stock indicator answer the questions that otherwise send a shopper away to check a competitor. Platform-specific work is covered on our ecommerce development and Shopify development pages.

How do you improve lead generation pages?

For service and B2B businesses the conversion is a conversation, so the goal is to make starting one feel easy and safe. The headline should state the offer in the visitor's words. The form should ask only for what is needed to respond. The page should say what happens next and how soon.

Trust carries extra weight when the purchase is large. Reviews, client logos used with permission, licenses, guarantees and photos of real staff all reduce the perceived risk. For local services, a prominent phone number that can be tapped on a phone often outperforms any form.

Speed counts too. A page that takes several seconds to load on a mobile connection loses visitors before they see the offer. We fix performance as part of the same project, and paid traffic is addressed on our Google Ads page.

What does an optimization program look like month to month?

It is a cycle. Each month we review the data, choose the highest-value problem, form a hypothesis, design and build the change, release it as a test or a monitored update, and record the outcome. Results, including the failures, go into a shared log so learning accumulates.

Not every change wins. In a healthy program a good share of tests show no difference, and a few make things worse, which is exactly why testing is worth doing. What matters is the cumulative effect of the winners over several months.

Working remotely suits this well. Changes are built during your night and reviewed in your morning. A monthly call walks through what was tested, what was learned and what comes next, and a live dashboard is available whenever you want to check progress.

Do speed and accessibility affect conversion?

Both do, and they are often the cheapest gains available. A page that is slow to appear on a phone loses visitors before they have read a word, and no headline test can recover them. We measure load time on real mobile connections and fix the usual causes: oversized images, unused scripts and third-party tags that block the page.

Accessibility problems are conversion problems. A form that cannot be completed with a keyboard, error messages shown only in red, or a button with too little contrast will stop some visitors from buying, and in the United States can also expose the business to legal claims. Clear labels, readable text and obvious buttons help every visitor, not only those with disabilities.

Pricing & engagement

How do pricing and engagement work?

A tracking setup or a conversion audit is a one-time project with a fixed price in US dollars. An ongoing optimization program is a monthly retainer covering research, design, development, testing and reporting. The fee depends on the size of the site, the number of tests that traffic can support each month and whether we build changes or hand them to your developers. Testing and recording tools are subscribed to in your name. We suggest an initial audit so that you can see the opportunities, and their estimated value, before deciding on a continuing program.

FAQS

Conversion Rate Optimization Services in the USA: common questions

Fixes for obvious problems can show an effect within weeks. A testing program usually takes three to six months to produce a clear cumulative gain, because each test needs time to gather enough data.

As a rough guide, a page needs several thousand visitors and a few hundred conversions per variation over a few weeks. Below that, we improve pages based on research and compare results over time instead of running formal tests.

No. Some changes will not help, which is why they are tested. We commit to a sound process and honest reporting, and in our experience a steady program finds worthwhile gains.

Not when done properly. Google supports testing as long as visitors and search engines are not shown deliberately different content and tests are not left running indefinitely. We follow its published guidance.

Yes. We audit the property, correct event tracking, set up conversions, filter internal traffic and connect it to your ad platforms and CRM. This is often the first project we do for a new client.

It depends on where your customers are and what tracking you use. Several states give residents the right to opt out of data sharing for advertising. We implement the banner and consent settings, and your attorney should confirm the legal requirements.

Either our developers or yours. We can work directly in your site or testing tool, or hand over designs and specifications for your team to implement.
