Miami, FL, United States, served remotely from Pune, India
Quavento Technologies develops custom software for companies in Miami, Florida. We build web applications, client and staff portals, internal tools, dashboards and the integrations that connect them to systems you already use. We work remotely from Pune, India, hold calls between 9 am and 1 pm Eastern Time and price in US dollars.
Miami's businesses work across borders as a matter of routine. A forwarder moves cargo for clients in six countries. A property manager answers to owners in Caracas and Madrid. A clinic books patients flying in from the Caribbean. Their software has to speak two or three languages, handle several currencies and keep customers informed across time zones.
Standard products built for a domestic American company often fall short on exactly those points. This page describes the projects we take on for the city's main industries and how we handle language, money and the weather.

When a packaged product has been adapted as far as it will go and people are still filling the gaps by hand. Accounting, payroll and email should be bought. So should industry platforms where they fit.
The case for building appears where the business does something the products were not designed for. A forwarder that consolidates parcels for thousands of individual customers abroad. A manager with owners who each want statements in their own language and currency. A charter company matching boats, captains and crew to bookings that change with the wind.
We build the missing piece and connect it to what you already use, so that nothing is entered twice. The first project should be small and specific, with a return you can measure within months. Our guide to planning an MVP explains how to choose it.
Visibility for their clients and less retyping for their staff. Miami's port and airport handle a large share of the trade between the United States and Latin America, and around them, particularly near Doral, are hundreds of forwarders, customs brokers, consolidators and distributors.
Their clients, often in another country, want to know where a shipment is without making a call. We build portals where a client sees each shipment's status, documents and charges, in Spanish, Portuguese or English, and receives updates by email or WhatsApp. Internally, tools turn an emailed booking into a job, track warehouse receipts, build consolidations, calculate charges and produce invoices.
There is a boundary. Customs filings and security filings are made through systems run or certified by the federal customs authority, usually by a licensed broker using specialist software. We do not replace those. We integrate with your broker's or forwarding system through its interfaces and build the client-facing and operational layers around it.
By managing very large numbers of small transactions accurately. Many Miami companies give customers in Latin America and the Caribbean a personal United States address. Parcels from online stores arrive at the warehouse, are matched to the customer, weighed, sometimes repacked and consolidated, and shipped onward.
The software is the business. Each customer has an account and a code. Each incoming parcel is scanned, photographed and assigned. The customer is told it has arrived, declares its contents and value, chooses a shipping method and pays. Charges depend on weight, dimensions, destination, duties and optional services.
We build the customer portal, the warehouse scanning tools, the pricing rules and the links to carriers and payment providers. Mistakes here mean a parcel sent to the wrong person or a customs problem, so matching is checked at each step and every action is logged. Prohibited and restricted goods are flagged against the rules of the destination country, as your compliance staff define them.
Records, communication and proof. South Florida has an enormous number of condominium buildings, many of them owned in part by people who live elsewhere. Since the Surfside collapse, Florida has tightened the law on inspections, reserves and the records associations must keep and make available to owners.
Associations above a size set by statute must maintain a website or app with specified official records in a secure owners' area, posted within set periods. They must also track structural inspections and reserve studies and plan the funding that follows. A manager handling many buildings needs a system that shows what is due for each.
We build owner portals with document libraries organized as the law lists them, payment of assessments, maintenance requests with photographs, meeting notices and voting where the governing documents allow it, in English and Spanish. For managers, a dashboard shows compliance dates across the portfolio. Your association attorney defines the requirements, and we build to them.
By tying bookings to the people and assets that deliver them. Miami's hotels and restaurants use established reservation platforms. Around them are yacht and boat charters, fishing trips, tours, event venues, beach clubs and transport companies whose operations are more particular.
A charter company has to match each booking to a vessel, a licensed captain, crew, provisioning and a dock slot, and then change everything when the weather turns. We build tools that hold those assignments, check conflicts, send the day's plan to crew on their phones and let customers sign waivers and add extras before they arrive.
Guests come from many countries, so confirmations and instructions go out in their language, and payments are taken in advance through a processor with clear cancellation terms. Charter and passenger vessel operations have Coast Guard rules on licensing and passenger numbers, and the system enforces the limits you specify for each vessel.
Yes. Miami's hospitals, clinics and specialist practices serve a bilingual population and a steady flow of patients from other states and countries. Much of the coordination, such as enquiries, estimates, records from abroad, travel dates, aftercare and follow-up, happens outside the health record.
Software that handles protected health information falls under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. We sign a business associate agreement, host with a provider that does the same, encrypt data, restrict access by role, record who viewed what and collect only what each feature needs.
For international patients, a coordination tool can track each case from first contact to follow-up, with messages and documents in the patient's language and reminders across time zones. Patient-facing screens are fully bilingual. Your privacy officer should review the design, and medical advertising rules apply to anything the system sends as marketing.
From the data model up. Adding a second language to finished software is expensive and never quite complete. We plan for it at the start: all wording is kept apart from the code, each user has a language preference, and every email, notification and printed document is produced in that language.
Money needs the same care. Amounts are stored with their currency, exchange rates are recorded with the date they applied, and totals are never added across currencies without conversion. Invoices show what the customer's country expects. Dates, number formats, names with two surnames and addresses without postal codes are all handled, because Latin American conventions differ from American ones.
Time zones matter when your customers are spread from California to Argentina. Times are stored consistently and shown in each user's zone. These are small decisions individually. Together they decide whether the system feels made for its users or imposed on them.
Miami has a growing number of companies in payments, remittances and digital assets serving Latin America. We build software for such companies on regulated providers, with identity checks and payments handled through licensed partners. Money transmission and related licensing are yours to arrange with counsel, and they should be settled before the architecture is. We do not hold customer funds.
Security follows established practice: access by role with multi-factor sign-in, encryption in transit and at rest, audit logs, tested backups and prompt patching. Businesses dealing with international payments are frequent targets of fraud, so changes to bank details and payees require a second approval.
Then there is the weather. Systems are hosted in cloud regions outside Florida, with backups elsewhere again, so a hurricane that closes your office does not take your software down. We help write the short plan that says how staff work remotely and how customers are told what is happening.
It starts with a paid discovery of two to three weeks. We interview the people who do the work, examine current systems and produce a specification, wireframes and an estimate that are yours to keep.
Development runs in two-week sprints, each ending with a demonstration on a staging system. We use mainstream technology, typically TypeScript with React and Next.js, Node.js or Python and PostgreSQL. Code is in your repository, cloud accounts are in your name and intellectual property is assigned to you on payment.
Calls are between 9 am and 1 pm Eastern, and questions raised in your afternoon usually have answers by morning. We are based in Pune, India, and have no Miami office. If the system needs a phone app, see mobile app development in Miami. Contracts and payment are explained on our software development for US companies page, and our other services on the Miami overview.
Weeks 1 to 3
Interviews on Eastern Time mornings, current systems reviewed and a written specification with wireframes.
Week 3
Phased plan, languages and currencies defined, and a fixed price for the first phase.
Per phase
Two-week cycles, each ending with a working demonstration on a staging system.
1 to 2 weeks
Testing in each language, data migration, staff training and a controlled rollout.
Ongoing
A monthly support plan, or a full handover to your own team with documentation.
Discovery is a small fixed-price project. Development is then quoted in US dollars as a fixed price per phase where the scope is clear, or as a monthly team rate where requirements will evolve. The cost depends on the number of user roles and screens, languages and currencies, integrations, compliance requirements and data migration. Cloud hosting and third-party services are paid by you directly. Support after launch is a separate monthly plan. We do not publish prices because projects differ so widely, but discovery gives you a detailed estimate before you commit to building.
Our team works from Pune, India. We do not have a US office, so every project is run remotely with a named project manager, a weekly call and written updates. These are the hours we keep for calls with US clients.
