Quavento Technologies builds ecommerce websites for businesses in Atlanta, Georgia. We design the store, set up the catalog, connect payments, tax, shipping and inventory, and keep improving it after launch. We work remotely from Pune, India, hold calls between 9 am and 1 pm Eastern Time and quote in US dollars.
Atlanta is a natural home for online sellers. Goods shipped from here by ground reach a large part of the country's population within two days, which is why the region is ringed with warehouses. And the city produces brands with real followings, in beauty and hair care, fashion, music and food.
A good store here does two things: it carries a brand's voice faithfully, and it connects cleanly to the warehouse so that an order placed at midnight is on a truck in the morning. This page explains how we build for both.

Geography and infrastructure. The metro area sits at the meeting point of three interstate highways, has major rail yards and the world's busiest passenger airport with a large cargo operation, and is within a day's drive of the port at Savannah. Ground carriers reach most of the eastern half of the country in two days.
For a brand with customers spread nationally, a warehouse here delivers quickly to the Southeast, the Midwest and the Northeast without the cost of air shipping. Sellers with many customers in the West often add a second warehouse there and split their stock.
The store has to be connected to make use of this. We integrate with the warehouse management or third-party logistics system so that orders are sent automatically, stock levels come back in near real time and tracking numbers reach the customer without anyone retyping them. With two warehouses, each order is routed to whichever can deliver soonest and has the items.
Help choosing, and honesty in claims. Atlanta is a center of the beauty industry, and especially of hair care and skincare brands created for textured hair and deeper skin tones. Their customers have very specific needs and have often been disappointed by products that did not suit them.
A store should guide the choice. A short quiz or finder that asks about hair type, concerns and routine, and recommends a regimen, converts far better than a grid of bottles. Shade ranges are photographed accurately on real skin. Each product lists its full ingredients, how to use it and what results are realistic.
Claims are regulated. Under federal law a cosmetic may not be marketed as treating a medical condition such as hair loss or eczema, and customer reviews displayed on the page count as advertising. Hair growth claims in particular draw attention. We structure pages to carry the required information and keep wording within what your regulatory adviser approves. Routines suit subscriptions, with terms stated clearly and cancellation easy.
In bursts. An artist announces a tour, a designer releases a capsule, a creator posts a video, and thousands of fans arrive at once. The store has to be fast, the stock has to be right and the release has to feel fair.
We prepare each release in advance: a light product page tested under load, inventory that cannot oversell, limits per customer, protection against automated buyers and notice to subscribers of the exact time. Pre-orders work well for merchandise made to order, provided the ship date is stated and kept, since federal rules require sellers to ship when they say or offer a refund.
Two cautions apply. Sizing information reduces returns, which are costly on apparel. And designs that use an artist's name, likeness, lyrics or a team's marks need a license from whoever owns those rights. We raise it when a planned product looks risky, and your attorney can advise.
The label on the page and the journey to the door. Georgia has a strong tradition of specialty foods: sauces, preserves, pecans and peanuts, baked goods, barbecue rubs, sweet tea and peach products. Many are made by small producers selling beyond the state for the first time.
Each product page carries ingredients, allergens, net weight and storage, matching the package. Federal labeling rules apply to food shipped across state lines. Very small producers working from a home kitchen operate under Georgia's cottage food rules, which allow certain foods to be sold directly to consumers under a state license, with limits on what and how.
Shipping needs rules of its own. Perishable goods get delivery dates limited by transit time, and in the long humid summer, chocolate, baked goods and anything that melts need insulated packaging or a hold before weekends. Gifting is a large part of this trade, so we add messages, multiple recipients and scheduled delivery, especially before the holidays.
They serve buyers who are working, not browsing. Atlanta is home to large suppliers of building materials, flooring, industrial equipment and packaging, with north Georgia a national center for carpet and flooring manufacture. Their customers are contractors, facilities managers and resellers who order the same things repeatedly.
A trade store needs accounts with negotiated pricing, search by part number and specification, quick reorder from history or a saved list, and payment by purchase order on terms. Stock is shown by branch, with pickup at the counter or delivery to a job site. Bulky orders need freight quotes or truck delivery in place of parcel rates.
Resale and exemption certificates are recorded against the account so tax is applied correctly. Integration with the supplier's ERP keeps prices and stock accurate. Where the requirement goes beyond a store platform, a custom portal may be the answer, as described on our custom software for Atlanta companies page.
With a state rate plus local taxes that vary by county and, in some cases, by city. The City of Atlanta's total differs from that of the surrounding counties, and each county sets its own mix of local option taxes. For shipped orders, the rate generally follows the delivery address.
Sellers located in Georgia collect on sales delivered in the state. Sellers elsewhere must collect once their sales into Georgia pass its economic nexus threshold, and marketplaces collect for their sellers. Most groceries are exempt from the state portion but not always from local taxes, which catches food sellers out.
Georgia also taxes certain digital products. Downloaded books, music, video, games and similar items sold to an end user for permanent use are subject to sales tax, while streaming and subscriptions are treated differently. A store that sells downloads alongside physical goods must classify them. We configure the tax engine or connect a service such as Avalara or TaxJar, and your accountant should confirm the setup.
By treating speed as part of the design. Brand-led stores are heavy with photography and video, and every added app loads code on each page. We compress and correctly size media, load it only when needed and remove apps that duplicate one another or are no longer used. The result is measured on ordinary phones with Google's own tools.
Trust is built from specifics: clear shipping costs and delivery dates before checkout, a return policy in plain words, real reviews from verified buyers and a way to reach a person. Hidden charges at the last step are the main cause of abandoned carts and complaints.
Counterfeits and imitators are a real problem for popular beauty and apparel brands. A page that lists authorized retailers and explains how to recognize the genuine product helps customers and supports your position if you need to act against a seller. Registering your trademark is a matter for your attorney.
Online stores are frequent targets of claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act. A customer using a keyboard or a screen reader must be able to browse, filter, choose a shade or size, add to cart and pay. We build to WCAG 2.2 level AA and test each of those steps by hand, since automated scanners and overlay widgets miss most of what matters.
Privacy obligations follow your customers. Selling to California, Colorado and other states with privacy laws, or to Europe, brings their rules with it. We configure consent tools that actually control tracking tags and document which services receive customer data.
Text and email marketing need consent. Promotional texts require prior written consent under federal law, and email must identify the sender and honor opt-outs. Paid or gifted endorsements by creators must be disclosed. We set up sign-up forms and records accordingly, and your attorney should approve the wording.
In defined stages. We review products, brand, fulfillment, tax position and systems, agree a written scope, design the main templates and build on a development environment. Before launch we place test orders through the warehouse integration, to several states, for subscriptions and for trade accounts, and check tax, shipping options and emails.
Shopify suits most consumer brands, as described on our Shopify development for Atlanta page. Large trade catalogs may need another platform, and our national ecommerce development page compares the options.

An ecommerce build is quoted as a fixed price in US dollars against a written scope and paid in milestones. The price depends on the platform, the size of the catalog, product finders or quizzes, subscriptions, trade account features and integrations with warehouse, inventory or accounting systems. Platform fees, payment processing, apps and tax services are paid by you to those providers. Support after launch is a separate monthly plan. We do not publish prices because a ten-product beauty brand and a building supply catalog are very different projects.
Our team works from Pune, India. We do not have a US office, so every project is run remotely with a named project manager, a weekly call and written updates. These are the hours we keep for calls with US clients.
