Brand strategy, logos, identities and packaging for Indian businesses, designed to stand out on shelves, apps and screens, in English and Indian scripts.

Quavento Technologies is a branding and packaging design agency in India. We help businesses define what they stand for, choose names and taglines, design logos and complete visual identities, create packaging and labels, and document everything in brand guidelines their teams and vendors can follow. We work with startups, family businesses, D2C brands, manufacturers, institutions and professional firms across the country.
Branding in India has to work in more places and more languages than in many markets. A food brand may need packaging that stands out in a crowded kirana shop, a tiny thumbnail on a quick-commerce app and a WhatsApp catalogue at the same time. A regional business may need a logo that works in Devanagari, Tamil or Bengali as well as English. And every pack has to carry the declarations Indian regulations require.
We bring strategy and craft together so your brand is distinctive, practical and consistent. Our team works from Pune and delivers projects remotely across India, with in-person workshops or shoots when a project benefits from them.

Indian markets are crowded and price-sensitive. Customers compare many similar options, often in seconds, on a shelf or a phone screen. A clear, distinctive brand helps them notice you, remember you and trust you enough to pay a fair price instead of choosing the cheapest option.
Strong branding also helps inside the business. It gives sales teams a consistent story, helps attract talent and makes marketing more efficient because every campaign builds on the same recognisable identity.
Many Indian brands need to communicate in more than one script. A logo or packaging designed only for English can look unbalanced when a Hindi, Marathi, Tamil or Bengali version is added later. We plan bilingual use from the start, choosing typefaces with matching Indian script families and designing lockups where both scripts feel part of the same brand.
Names and taglines are checked for pronunciation and meaning across major Indian languages, because a word that sounds good in English can carry an awkward meaning elsewhere.
Pre-packaged goods in India must carry declarations under the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011, such as the manufacturer or packer name and address, the generic name of the product, net quantity, month and year of manufacture or packing, MRP inclusive of taxes and consumer care details. Food products also need FSSAI details, ingredients, nutrition information, the vegetarian or non-vegetarian symbol and allergen and date information. Cosmetics, Ayurvedic products and other categories have their own rules.
We design space for these declarations from the first concept and lay them out clearly from the information you provide. Your regulatory or quality team should always verify the final content.
On a physical shelf, packaging must stand out next to competitors within a second or two. On apps such as Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Amazon and Flipkart, the same pack shrinks to a small thumbnail. Designs with a strong colour block, a large, legible product name and a simple silhouette work in both places.
We test concepts in shelf simulations and at thumbnail size before you choose, and create marketplace-ready images of the final packs. See our packaging design service for more detail.
Common triggers include growth into new markets or states, moving upmarket, launching new product lines, mergers, an outdated identity that does not work on digital platforms, or a name that is hard to trademark or pronounce. Family businesses often rebrand when the next generation expands the company beyond its original city.
Rebranding should keep the elements customers already recognise, such as a colour or symbol, where they still serve the business. Our rebranding service plans the change and the rollout carefully.
Very important. Registering your brand name and logo with the Trade Marks Registry gives stronger legal protection against copying, which is common in many Indian categories. Before finalising a name or logo, it is sensible to search the IP India database for similar marks in your class.
We run preliminary searches during naming and design, provide the files a trademark attorney needs and assign copyright in the final logo to you in writing. Formal filing should be handled by a qualified trademark attorney.
A complete identity usually includes these elements.
Indian businesses often work with many printers, sign makers, franchise partners and agencies, each making their own interpretation of the brand. Without clear rules, colours drift, logos get stretched and every outlet looks different.
Brand guidelines with visual examples, exact colour codes and ready-made templates solve this. We also provide a one-page quick reference for vendors and train teams on how to use the brand. Our brand guidelines service documents this properly.
B2B buyers in India and abroad judge suppliers by credibility and professionalism. A clear identity, consistent brochures and catalogues, a professional website and well-presented capability documents help Indian manufacturers and exporters compete with international suppliers.
We focus on clarity, trust and consistency rather than trend-driven design, and we make sure materials look credible to buyers in the Middle East, Europe, the US and elsewhere.
A logo design project usually takes a few weeks. A full identity with strategy, naming and guidelines takes longer, often a couple of months. Packaging timelines depend on the number of products and variants and on printer schedules.
Clear decision-making speeds things up. We agree who approves each stage at the start and present options in real-world mock-ups so decisions are easier.
Strategy workshops can run over video calls with shared boards, and designs are presented in detailed mock-ups showing signage, packaging, websites and social posts. Printed proofs for packaging are reviewed with your printer. When a project benefits from being in the same room, such as a naming workshop with partners or a product shoot, we travel to you.
These questions help you choose a reliable partner.
A good name is easy to say and spell across regions, distinctive enough to trademark, available as a domain and social handle, and free of unfortunate meanings in major Indian languages. It should also leave room to grow into new products or states.
We generate many options, screen them for trademarks, domains, handles and linguistic issues, and present a shortlist with the reasoning behind each. Our brand naming service covers this process.
Many Indian food, cosmetic and wellness startups begin with small batches in standard jars and bottles. Labels are a cost-effective way to look professional without large printing minimums. Digital label printing allows small runs and frequent updates.
We design labels to the exact container size, plan space for declarations and create systems that make adding new flavours or variants quick. See our label design service.
Consistent, accurate product photography makes a brand look trustworthy on websites, marketplaces and social media, and reduces returns caused by mismatched expectations. Marketplaces such as Amazon and Flipkart also have specific image requirements.
We plan photography styles that match the brand identity and produce images suitable for every channel. See our product photography service.
Useful signals include growth in branded searches, higher conversion rates on the website and in stores, better response to campaigns, the ability to hold prices, recognition in customer feedback and easier hiring. Some effects appear quickly, while others build over years.
We agree a few measures before a branding project starts, so its impact can be discussed with evidence rather than opinion.
Franchise brands in India, from food outlets to education centres, depend on partners to represent the brand consistently. Guidelines need to cover shopfront signage, interiors, uniforms, menus or brochures, local advertising templates and social media rules.
We create practical guidelines and editable templates that partners can use without a designer, with a simple approval process for local promotions so the brand stays consistent across cities.
Quick-commerce platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto and Swiggy Instamart show products as small tiles among many competitors. Packaging needs bold colours, large and legible product names and simple shapes, while listing images and content must be accurate and consistent.
We design packs and listing images with these screens in mind, testing visibility at small sizes before artwork is finalised.
Many Indian family businesses have decades of goodwill tied to a name, logo or packaging style. Modernisation should protect that recognition while updating what feels dated. We research which elements customers recognise and value, then refresh typography, colours, packaging and digital presence carefully.
This approach helps the next generation expand into new markets and channels without losing loyal customers who have trusted the brand for years.
Branding decisions often involve partners, family members or boards with different opinions. We present concepts in realistic mock-ups, such as signboards, packaging, websites and delivery bags, and explain how each option supports the agreed strategy.
Clear criteria agreed at the start help decision-makers compare options objectively rather than choosing based on personal taste alone, which leads to faster, more confident approvals.
